A gesture as banal as turning on the tap is an impossible wish for more than two billion people worldwide. And it is urgent to make this wish come true.

This exhibition, targeting all ages, shows the importance of potable water using science, technology, and our commitment. Created by Centro de Ciência Viva, with the support of Portuguese researchers, it includes thirty interactive modules and four thematic areas: two presents and two futures.

The four thematic areas explore the differences between life with and without access to water.

Using a positive register, which captivates and appeals to awareness, WATER – an unfiltered exhibition, encourages us to experiment and learn about the various ways of using this essential good and its multiple facets and availability.

Take a day to visit this exhibition with kids and grown-ups and find out more about water and how you can reduce your water footprint for a future where this essential good is available to everyone.

NOS Alive

NOS Alive had its first edition in 2007 as Optimus Alive, and its only interruption was due to the pandemic. It is the premier music festival in Portugal and attracted the attention of the rest of the world due to its unique combination of an eclectic line-up, pleasant weather, and a stunning location on the coast. This festival is commonly referred to as one of the best summer music festivals in Europe by international press such as The Guardian, Times, Clash, Mixmag, and NME.

This year there is no shortage of music to choose from, and the line-up includes Florence + the Machine, Jorja Smith, alt-J, Caribou, Da Weasel, Dino D’Santiago, and Faith No More, among many others. The atmosphere is incredible, with stadium-sized DJs and bands, great camping, a swimming pool, and a free shuttle service. There’s also the NOS Alive Surf Xperience, where you can learn to surf some of Portugal’s best waves.

In addition to all this, mothers-to-be have an area where they can watch the event in a space created to welcome them, and people with reduced mobility have access to mobility-restricted platforms.
